Officers

President: Deborah Visconti

Deborah has a passion for WBTA that is unparalleled. When you can’t find her working and riding on the trails, you’ll see her actively training and competing with her two Shelties in agility classes. And not that it is all work, work, work, when not competing she and the dogs contribute their time and talents to therapy work. Deborah is wonderfully creative and enjoys traveling with friends and entertaining but when she has time at home, she stays busy making greeting cards and learning to play the piano.

She and her husband Mike live in Stanfordville (and secretly hope to be wintering in Arizona very soon!).

Vice President: Susan Hamburger

Susan started riding in her late 30s after watching her daughter ride for a year and once she started she never looked back – and hasn’t stopped yet! For a few years she competed in combined training but discovered that her true passion is the process of training not the actual competition so these days she does a little of everything – from dressage, some jumping, trail riding and hunter pacing.

When she’s not with her horses she is hiking with her husband, Jim and their three dogs, practicing yoga or spending time gardening.

She lives in Clinton Corners with her husband, three horses and three dogs.

Treasurer: Barbara Appolonia

Barbara is a lifelong rider and the owner of Magnificat Farm, a boarding and training facility. She participates in and practices Parelli training techniques with certified Parelli instructors and is often found hosting clinics for dressage riders, Pilates for Riders and Natural Horsemanship.

A former working student for Lendon Gray, she was most recently selected out of a large pool of applicants, to participate in the Dressage Naturally ten week intensive program offered in Ocala, FL in the fall 2010. And you can’t miss her on the trails as she loves the chance to practice her dressage in a variety of situations.

She and husband Mike, along with their dog Tim, reside in Clinton Corners with three felines family members.

Secretary: Stacey Adams

Stacey is a lifelong equestrian that has found a unique way to combine her passion and her vocation. She and her 28 y.o. TB, Bear are actively involved in local trail rides and hunter paces organized by WBTA as well as other local groups. In addition to her work with WBTA, Stacey is the President of Active Travel, Inc. which specializes in offering 73 of the best riding vacations in 14 different countries.

She lives in Rhinebeck with her cat Ella and her Great Pyrenees, Dakota.
